1. Are Cowshed shampoos sulfate-free?
Yes, all of our shampoos are sulfate-free. We use gentler cleansing systems that effectively cleanse the hair and scalp without stripping away natural oils, leaving hair feeling soft, balanced and healthy.

2. Are your hair products silicone-free and paraben-free?
Yes. Our haircare is made without silicones, parabens or mineral oils. Designed to gently cleanse and care for both hair and scalp, our formulas help leave hair feeling soft, healthy and naturally nourished without build-up.

3. Which hair types are Cowshed shampoo and conditioner best for?
Our haircare is designed to suit a range of hair types, from fine to dry and everything in between. If you’re looking for volume and lift, our Boost range helps add body and bounce to fine or flat hair. For dry or frizz-prone hair, our Soften range focuses on hydration, leaving hair smooth, soft and more manageable. Each formula is created to support healthy-looking hair with a naturally nourished finish.

4. Are Cowshed shampoo and conditioner vegan?
Cowshed is a vegetarian brand and many of our formulas are suitable for vegans. However, not every product is vegan - some of our products use natural ingredients like beeswax or honey. You’ll find full ingredient listings on each product page.

5. Is Cowshed haircare suitable for sensitive or irritated scalps?
Our haircare is designed to be gentle and balancing for both hair and scalp. If your scalp is particularly sensitive or irritated, we recommend checking the ingredient list and patch testing before use.

6. Do you sell pumps for shampoo and conditioner bottles?
Our shampoos and conditioners come with click lids. Pumps can be purchased separately, and our reusable Black Pump is designed to fit our 300ml and 500ml bottles.

7. Is Cowshed shampoo safe for coloured or chemically treated hair?
Our shampoos are sulfate-free and use gentle cleansing systems, so there’s nothing in the formulas that would typically strip colour or disrupt chemically treated hair. While they haven’t been specifically tested on colour-treated or chemically treated hair, they’re designed to cleanse without over-drying, helping to maintain soft, healthy-looking hair.
